Case: PAKAMA

PAKAMA is a German manufacturer of fitness equipment.
As a D2C brand, the products are sold directly to the end customer via the company's own Shopify store in combination with online marketing (Meta Ads, Google Ads, Influencer, etc.).

The core product is a fitness backpack including sports equipment for a functional full-body workout. The backpack is complemented by a training app.

The sports backpack was also featured on "Die Höhle der Löwen" in 2020.

The hypothesis

IF we focus the product page more on the needs of the female target audience,
THEN the overall conversion rate for the backpack will increase,
BECAUSE the core target audience will better understand the product and see it as a solution to their problems."

Basis for the hypothesis: The analysis of existing customers has shown that the target group is predominantly female.

Revision of the visual language to increase resonance with the female target group.

Adjustment of the sub-headline to present PAKAMA's solution in a more targeted way.

The product description was more focused on the problems and wishes of the target group.

The
results

This A/B test resulted in a 17% increase in the overall conversion rate and a 23% increase in the page value.
The B variant could be validated statistically significant and was therefore put online as a standard variant on all product pages.

Based on the new reference, further A/B tests and optimizations will now be carried out by Golden Web Age in the future.
