miBaby is Germany's largest portal for baby shopping. It now reaches over 550,000 registered parents and over 1,000,000 people on Facebook. miBaby does not sell any products of its own, but accompanies the target group in all necessary purchases along the pregnancy cycle. Regular product tests, competitions and insider tips from the miBaby editorial team help parents find great deals and the best price!
miBaby supports expectant mothers from the first week of pregnancy until the children are up to three years old. For years, the company's in-house editorial team has been creating a lot of content along the pregnancy cycle with enormous added value for the target group. This has created over 100,000 sub-pages on the website in the meantime. In addition to the Facebook, Instagram and newsletter marketing channels, the SEO channel was also to be built up to make even better use of the existing content. Unfortunately, despite the large number of pages that were created editorially, it was not possible to build up good rankings on Google.
After a comprehensive SEO analysis, we, at Golden Web Age, could identify a number of problems that prevented good rankings. The biggest problem was that there was hardly a structured overview of the many subpages. As a result, the editors often created multiple content on the same topic. Moreover, these were often not integrated cleanly into the website structure. In addition, there were some technical problems, such as slow loading times, which had to be solved.
Start of our care at the green I point.
So first an overview of all existing pages had to be created. After this was created, the existing pages had to be organized and structured. Then the pages were checked and a radical "Panda diet" was carried out, in which low-quality pages, as well as pages that were no longer needed, were excluded from Google's index. In the process, we also had to identify a lot of duplicate content. Similar pages were therefore subsequently merged into one high-quality page. In the course of this, new category pages were designed and created, which were SEO-optimized from the ground up and prepared with appealing infographics. At the same time, a new menu was also conceived, designed and implemented, as well as additional elements that encourage the user to read further articles. Through both measures, we were also able to massively improve the internal linking at the same time.
In addition to the "Panda diet" and the optimization of the actual content, many technical optimizations were also made. In addition to optimizing the loading time - by implementing automatic image compression, for example - the meta tags were also restructured and supplemented with rich snippets. This also enormously increased the click-through rate (CTR) from Google to the website.
Within just six months, we were able to increase the visibility of mibaby.de by over 467%. Along with this, organic traffic to the website also increased tremendously, which at the same time resulted in a large increase in registrations on the platform and ultimately sales. Since the optimization measures, mibaby.de receives a regular constant stream of organic traffic to its website.
