Grünbeck Wasseraufbereitung GmbH offers water treatment systems for private households, gastronomy and trade. The focus is on installation technology for buildings, process water treatment for power plants as well as the beverage and food industry, water treatment for care facilities, and swimming pool technology.

As a medium-sized company, Grünbeck also has an in-house IT department.

problems

Grünbeck offers a wide range of products at various locations throughout Germany. Therefore, the website is very extensive. On it, interested customers can find all information about the products, the service and contact information.

  1. After Grünbeck offered many different products for water treatment for a wide range of target groups, it was often difficult for the customer to choose the right product. Customers often did not know which product was right for them.
  2. Since Grünbeck has many different service employees, branches and contact points throughout Germany, it was difficult for customers to quickly find the right contact person or contact for the respective regional location.

solutions

  1. To enable customers of Grünbeck Wasseraufbereitung GmbH to find the right product quickly and easily, the product selection process had to be completely rethought. In the process, we first developed a concept whereby the various products could be differentiated into categories. To do this, we worked out which characteristics are relevant for the different target groups. Afterwards, simple questions were formulated for the customer, which he can answer without further technical knowledge in order to quickly and easily find the right product.

    In order to make this process as user-friendly as possible, an interactive quiz tunnel was developed for the website. Help texts and explanations were also integrated in this to make the process understandable for every person.

    In addition to user-friendliness, the process also had to be conversion-optimized. For this reason, a progress indicator for the individual steps was also integrated into the quiz tunnel to give customers orientation as to which step of the quiz they are currently in. In addition, all elements, such as the navigation, etc., were hidden in order not to distract the user while answering the individual questions. In addition, care was also taken to positively encourage the user in answering his questions. A clear color scheme and small gamification elements encourage the user to answer all questions.
  2. To ensure that customers can also quickly and easily find the contact details of the relevant regional branch, we also rethought the contact process from the ground up. The individual contact details were no longer to be listed in a confusing text display, but were to be presented in a more appealing way.

    To this end, we designed a map of Germany to match Grünbeck's corporate identity. This was then animated and optimized for a good loading time. Thus, customers can now easily find the appropriate contact data based on the federal state.
