Installing the Stocky app in Shopify POS:

• Opening the settings in the Shopify admin panel
• Selecting the ‘Apps and Distribution Channels’ option from the menu
• Go to the Shopify App Store by clicking the button in the top right-hand corner
• Type ‘Stocky’ into the App Store search bar and select the app
• Install the app
• Stocky is now available in the apps section of the shop’s admin area

How do I use Stocky with Shopify?

To use Stocky in your shop, you have two options: firstly, you can carry out the stock-take manually; alternatively, you can do it using a barcode scanner, which reduces the amount of work involved.

Stocky – Manual stock-taking

If you don’t have a barcode scanner, you’ll need to carry out the stock take manually using the app; in other words, Stocky will show you the target stock levels for the products in Shopify POS, and you’ll count the items in stock manually and reconcile the figures.

Stocky – Barcode Stock-taking

With the barcode scanner option, all existing products are scanned once. You will then also see the target and actual figures. The figures can then be reconciled. In addition, you can specify the reasons for any discrepancies and note the name of the staff member who carried out the stock-take.

Once the stock-take is complete, the stock levels are up to date and are automatically updated whenever products are sold.

All stock-takes are, of course, saved in the Stocky app, so the app should never be deactivated, as otherwise the historical data will be lost.
